Policies
ESTIMATES
Project estimates (if applicable) are valid for 30 days from the date of estimate. Project may be re-estimated if, upon receipt of all project elements, the Type and Love Paperie determines the scope of the project has been altered dramatically from the originally agreed upon concept.
PAYMENT
Payments may be made through Paypal or by check (payable to Type and Love, a 5 day hold is required) or money order. Deliveries to New York State addresses are subject to 9% sales tax.
PROOFING
We provide the invitation piece first to make sure that you are happy with the fonts you have chosen. Once you give us the go ahead we can create layouts for the other pieces. Once all proofs are in final form you will fax or email your proof approval and give us your authorization to print. Client agrees to review each proof for errors of spelling, fact, spacing or any additional errors of any kind. Once the client has returned an approval in writing (email or fax only) to begin printing, the Type and Love Paperie is not responsible for any errors. Any reprints would be done at the client’s expense for materials and labor.
TIMELINE
We ask that you carefully consider the timeline when choosing the date on your rsvp card, and that you provide all information for wording as soon as possible so that we can avoid any delays, rush charges or issues with timing. Invitations are sent FedEx ground insured unless requested otherwise. If you have chosen our computer calligraphy service the addresses do not need to be submitted at the time of proof approval. We do request they are submitted at least 10 business days before desired delivery date. It is possible for us to mail ahead your envelopes (shipping fee applies) while we print your invitations so that you can start your guest addressing. We can also drop ship to a calligrapher if you prefer.
ASSEMBLY
If you do not opt for our assembly service, all items will arrive to you in one box but packaged separately. This means pocketfolds, liners, invitations, insert cards, envelopes, belly bands, sealers, etc. will all be unassembled and will have to be assembled by you. EAP will send one fully assembled invitation with your order to serve as a reference point. If you would like us to assemble your invitations it will take roughly 5-7 business days to assemble after the printing has been completed. Assembly fee’s do not include the cost of postage. What is included: Pocketfold Invite Set - invite is affixed to panel, inserts and rsvp envelopes (with postage affixed) placed in pocket, any sealers, belly bands, closures are affixed to outside of pocketfold and sealed, pocketfold is inserted in to outer envelope and sealed (unless otherwise noted). We will affix rsvp & outer postage if you supply the stamps. Traditional Invite Set - invite, inserts and rsvp envelopes (with postage affixed) are stacked and inserted in to outer envelope. We will affix rsvp & outer postage if you supply the stamps. At an additional fee, we can bring your assembled invitations to the post office for hand canceling and shipping. If you would like to order coordinating Zazzle.com postage for your envelopes, a $15 upload fee is required. Client would be responsible for Zazzle.com fee’s - which vary depending on which size ordered.
POSTAGE
If we have are able to use a previous order to provide you with an accurate postage quote, we are happy to send you that information in advance of receiving your printed items. However, if we are unable to accurately provide postage fee’s, client will need to bring an assembled invitation to the post office and have it weighed in order to determine the exact postage needed. Square envelopes incur an extra fee for mailing by the USPS.
REPRODUCTION OF WORK
Type and Love Paperie retains personal rights to use the completed project and any preliminary designs for the purpose of design competitions, future publications on design, educational purposes and the marketing of the designer’s business. Where applicable the client will be given any necessary credit for usage of the project elements.
REJECTION/CANCELLATION OF PROJECT
The client shall not unreasonably withhold acceptance of, or payment for, the project. If, prior to completion of the project, the client observes any non conformance with the design plan, the designer must be promptly notified, allowing for necessary corrections. Rejection of the completed project or cancellation during its execution will result in forfeiture of design fee and the possible billing for all additional labor or expenses to date. All elements of the project must then be returned to the designer. Any usage by the client of those design elements will result in appropriate legal action. Client shall bear all costs, expenses, and reasonable attorney’s fees in any action brought to recover payment under this contract or in which Type and Love Paperie may become a party by reason of this contract.
COMPLETION/DELIVERY OF PROJECT
The client will assume any shipping or insurance costs. Any alteration or deviation from the above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only upon approval with the client. Any delay in the completion of the project due to actions or negligence of client, unusual transportation delays, unforeseen illness, or external forces beyond the control of the designer, shall entitle the designer to extend the completion/delivery date, upon notifying the client, by the time equivalent to the period of such delay. The designer is not responsible for any damage occurring to product during shipping. We send all materials with insurance so that replacement would be available to customer at the cost of the shipper. The designer would not be responsible for the time delay due to damage.
ACCEPTANCE OF AGREEMENT
The client hereby accepts the above fees, specifications and conditions once the fee is paid. Type and Love Paperie is then authorized to execute the project as outlined in this agreement. Any order cancelled after payment is received is subject to penalties including, but not limited to: $250 design fee, 20% restock fee on any paper returned to the manufacturer, all costs involved for any materials special ordered, custom cut or custom printed, all costs involved for completed assembly.
